About Trufit

TruFit is a core strength and conditioning program that is designed to vastly improve your abilities in ten different physical domains: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance (cardio), stamina, strength, flexibility, speed, power, balance, agility, coordination, and accuracy.  Each class includes:

  • Warm-up
  • Technical instruction
  • Workout of the day

The safety and ability of my athletes is paramount, which is why we always spend time on technique – anything from how to do a deadlift to climbing a rope.  So don’t worry if you’ve never touched a barbell or pull-up bar before!


What are the workouts?

Our workouts change constantly from day to day and it is rare to repeat the same routine in any one month.These workouts focus on weightlifting (including standard powerlifting and Olympic lifts), gymnastics/body weight exercises, and cardiovascular conditioning.  The workout for any given day will be composed of exercises that will target any one of these categories, or, as is most often the case, a combination thereof.  They are always high intensity.


What if I can’t do a pull-up?

We all have our own strengths and weaknesses.  No one person is ever expected to do something that they are physically unable to do.  One of the huge advantages to our training is that each workout/exercise can be scaled to the individual.  We have people of all varying levels of athleticism doing the same workouts.  If you can’t do a pull-up or handstand pushup right now, we will teach you the progressions that will get you there!


Do we always workout together?

One of the best parts of TruFit is our team atmosphere!  Being part of the class really motivates people to do their best.  Yes, we often find ourselves competing against one another, but we also encourage each other to push harder.  Plus we have fun as a team and often have events outside of class – hiking, eating, watching Matt fight… (can this be, “watching fights” ?) You won’t find a happier, sometimes silly, inviting group of people to work out and sweat with.
